The Randal Foundation is pleased to support the Rape and Sexual Assault Support Service (RSASS), an organisation committed to supporting survivors of sexual violence by offering a comprehensive range of free and confidential services. RSASS provides specialist assistance to survivors of rape, sexual assault, domestic abuse, and sexual abuse, regardless of gender or the time elapsed since the incident occurred. The organisation recognises the unique challenges faced by survivors and is dedicated to creating a safe and empowering environment that facilitates healing and recovery.
The core mission of RSASS is to improve the quality of life for individuals affected by sexual abuse by offering a secure and supportive space where survivors are heard, believed, and guided through their personal recovery journey. This may include counselling, emotional support, or guidance through the legal system. Their key services include a 24/7 helpline, providing immediate, confidential support at any time.
Compassionate, trained volunteers offer telephone assistance, while professionally qualified counsellors deliver therapeutic services to individuals aged 16 and above.
RSASS delivers significant public benefit through its free, confidential, and specialist support to survivors of sexual assault and abuse.
The funding provided by the Randal Foundation has been directed towards strengthening RSASS’s capacity to enhance the quality of life and safeguard the wellbeing of survivors, with a particular emphasis on suicide prevention. This support has contributed to staff and counsellor training, direct client engagement, and the delivery of high-quality care.
For over three decades, RSASS has provided essential support to thousands of individuals affected by rape and sexual abuse in South Buckinghamshire during their most difficult moments. Despite facing political and financial challenges, the organisation has remained a vital and consistent source of care, advocacy, and specialist support.
