The Bright Sight Mission (BSM) is an eye health charity with a unique aim: to provide professional eye care services to some of the deprived communities in West Africa.
The charity works across the region to preserve and protect the health of communities through the provision of eye surgery and treatment.
In 2019 the Randal Charitable Foundation approved a grant to provide a temporary eye treatment camp in Ghana Bright Sight Mission, which specialises in providing free medical treatments and cataract operations.
The charity has been active in Ghana since February 2018 when it began to perform free cataract operations and treatments for eye conditions for patients in a district suffering extreme deprivation. During that trip 1,660 patients were seen and 143 cataract operations were performed.
