East Kent Rape Crisis Centre

The Randal Charitable Foundation proudly supports East Kent Rape Crisis Centre.

East Kent Rape Crisis Centre aims to provide a safe space for survivors of sexual violence across East Kent, and offers access to therapeutic and practical support to help people rebuild their lives.

Their ultimate goal is to create a community where women and girls are free from all forms of sexual violence, and they want to achieve this by working within a feminist framework that allows change to be driven by equal human rights for everyone.

The centre is a registered charity made up of trained professionals and volunteers providing a safe space to everyone affected by any kind of sexual violence or coercion, experienced at any time during their lives.

Their purpose is to provide immediate, empathetic and helpful support to anyone who requires it. They provide a platform for people of any age, gender, race, religion, orientation or identity to seek counselling and assistance, whether clients have been affected by sexually abusive behaviour in the past, or are continuing to experience it.

All of their services are open to everyone, and they also support family and friends. The centre offers emotional and practical support in the form of face to face counselling, therapeutic crisis interventions, support through the criminal justice system and support and crisis phone lines.

In 2023 the Randal Charitable Foundation provided grant funding for the provision of therapy and support sessions at the centre for 1 year.
