Grace Enterprises

The Randal Charitable Foundation proudly supports Grace Enterprises.

Grace Enterprises Nottingham is growing a network of social enterprises to provide supportive employment for those with multiple barriers to work.

They are passionate about seeing people’s lives positively impacted through meaningful work in ethical businesses, and are on a mission to create more sustainable jobs.

Sarah, one of Grace Enterprises first employees, said: “Now I’ve got a job my life is a lot better, I’m not isolated, I have the chance to get out and meet different people. I feel like someone again. My confidence is a lot better, I’m more positive, I’ve got more hope.”

Grace Enterprises have employed over 100 people in their first two social enterprises, Radiant Cleaners and Jubilee Events.

In 2024 the Randal Charitable Foundation provided significant multi-year grant funding to enable regional and national growth of their latest social enterprise: Half the Story. This is a company that bakes great tasting biscuits… but the focus is on creating employment for people, with a focus on homelessness.

The growth supported by the Randal Charitable Foundation is anticipated to create 40 jobs within the first year. But it’s not just about the numbers. The Grace Enterprises model of supportive employment means they can impact the whole of someone’s life for the whole of their life.

Working in a Grace Enterprises business has the potential to be transformative. 95% of the team attribute the positive change in their lives to employment with them, with significant increases in employee’s sense of hope (+19%) and purpose (+26%). It’s not really about the cleaning / marquee erecting/ baking… those are the activities that provide the vehicle for the coaching, mentoring and practical support that many employees need to be able to fulfil their potential.
