Hope Health Action specialises in equipping local health systems in Haiti and East Africa.
They strive to empower national staff and facilities to fulfil their vision, ensuring the world’s poorest receive accessible, dignified and compassionate health and disability care.
The charity’s mission is to build long-term partnerships with local communities and health systems to facilitate sustainable, innovative and life-saving health and disability care for the most vulnerable.
They are driven by the call to ‘love others, as they would wish to be loved themselves’ and seek to bring hope, health and action to the world’s poorest. They believe every person has the right to quality health-care without discrimination.
In 2021 the Randal Charitable Foundation provided significant grant funding towards the renovation and purchase of equipment for the HCBH Hospital Lab in Haiti.
Hope Health Action has been working in Haiti for 13 years supporting the hospital, which treats more than 20,000 patients every year and is one of the leading medical centres in the north of the country.
The charity has been working alongside local Haitian staff and leaders to support their vision, expand their medical training, access new technologies and essential equipment, grow their hospital facility and ensure their community has access to critical and comprehensive health and disability care.
Alongside their continued passion and focus for Haiti, they are also starting to use their experience and expertise to assist similar efforts in East Africa by working on a range of exciting projects there.
