Menphys

The Randal Charitable Foundations is a proud supporter of Menphys

Menphys is a Leicestershire charity for disabled children, young people and their families.

The charity provides a range of specialist services to support children and young adults with additional needs and disabilities and has been supporting families across Leicester and Leicestershire for 50 years. They strive to give young people equal choices and equal opportunities to allow them to live ordinary lives.

The charity offers a range of services including holistic therapies, family stay & play and parent & toddler groups.

The holistic therapies, which the charity offers help to promote health, physical and emotional wellbeing, self-regulation and mindfulness. The therapies are designed for children, young people and adults with additional needs and disabilities and their families, carers and professional supporters to access.
The Family stay and play aims to provide a range of holistic and empowering activities in an inclusive fun environment. The group offers the opportunity for children aged 5-8 years with disabilities and their families to come and enjoy play activities and socialise in a safe inclusive needs-led environment.

The parent and toddler group aims to provide a range of fun and engaging services in an inclusive safe environment. The group offers the opportunity for children in their early years going through a diagnosis or already diagnosed to enjoy play activities and socialise in a safe inclusive needs-led environment.

In 2020 the Randal Charitable Foundation made a significant grant to Menphys for the purchase of iPads for socially-disadvantaged, low-income family children, between the ages of 5-12, to use with the assistance of their SEND schools.
