Reflections Yorkshire CIC

The Randal Foundation is proud to support Reflections Yorkshire CIC to deliver a year long programme of trauma informed, peer led recovery support for vulnerable men at the critical point when formal treatment or prison support ends and the risk of relapse is highest. Many of the men we support have experienced homelessness, addiction, trauma, and involvement with the criminal justice system, and without continuity of care, too many return to substance misuse, instability, and reoffending.

Reflections CIC will deliver lived experience talks in prisons, structured group programmes, and workshops for prison staff. These activities provide early intervention, education, and hope before release, while strengthening the link between prison-based support and community recovery services. Lived-experience delivery is central to our approach; men are more likely to engage when they hear honest, relatable stories from people who have sustained recovery.

The grant will support group delivery programmes that build resilience, coping skills, and confidence, alongside mentoring and wellbeing activities that help men prepare for independent living.

This project benefits service users by reducing relapse risk, improving mental health and wellbeing, and increasing stability through sustained housing and positive pathways into volunteering, training, or employment. Wider public benefit includes reduced reoffending, lower demand on health and emergency services, and stronger, safer communities. By investing in early intervention and continuity of care, lives will be saved, dignity will be restored, and men will be given the tools they need to build meaningful, independent futures.
