The Randal Foundation is proud to support Suicide Prevention UK, an organisation dedicated to reducing and preventing the incidence of suicide by improving access to mental health resources, raising awareness, and actively challenging the stigma surrounding mental health.
Through a multifaceted and holistic approach, Suicide Prevention UK plays a critical role in suicide prevention and life-saving interventions in Bristol and the surrounding areas. The organisation focuses on several key areas of intervention, working tirelessly to foster a society that is better informed, more compassionate, and equipped to prevent the tragic loss of life to suicide.
At the core of their work is a strong commitment to education and awareness. Suicide Prevention UK delivers workshops and public awareness campaigns designed to highlight mental health issues, dismantle societal stigma, and promote greater understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals. Their outreach efforts encourage open and honest dialogue around mental health in homes, educational institutions, workplaces, and local communities.
The Randal Foundation’s funding will specifically support Suicide Prevention UK’s national crisis support line, the National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK. This funding will contribute towards essential staffing and operational costs, including the procurement and development of critical software, uniforms for the SPUK patrol team, travel and subsistence expenses for volunteers, volunteer welfare initiatives, as well as recruitment and training programmes.
Through this partnership, we are proud to contribute to the continued expansion and impact of Suicide Prevention UK’s life-saving services.
