Addiction

Addiction has a devastating impact on the lives of addicts, as well as their families and those around them.

In the United Kingdom alone the Road to Recover Report by the Centre for Social Justice estimates around 590,000 adults are in need of alcohol treatment, with alcohol misuse costing the National Health Service (NHS) an estimated £3.5 billion per year.

One Step At a Time

The scale of the problem, from alcohol and drug addiction to gambling, is only matched by the inequity of its distribution, as it is clear that those who suffer the greatest deprivation also suffer the greatest harm.

Addiction destroys lives and affects the whole family. The Randal Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting organisations, which are working to tackle the root causes of addiction, as well as helping addicts to recover, and their families to rebuild their lives.
