Covid-19 Support

In 2020 the world changed abruptly as the Covid-19 pandemic swept across the globe.

To protect their citizens from the Coronavirus most countries enforced draconian lockdown measures and strict social distancing.

As is the case when a sudden economic and social crisis takes place, it is the poorest and most vulnerable in society who suffer the greatest hardship.

United together

For millions of people around the world the lockdown led to their jobs suddenly ending, and with little or no money, their ability to purchase food and provide for their families.

To help people adversely affected by the pandemic the Randal Charitable Foundation provided significant grant funding to a number of UK and global charities.

In the UK these included supporting vulnerable older people left socially isolated by the lockdown, and providing food, medicine and supplies to individuals and families suffering extreme hardship.

The Foundation also funded thousands of free meals for National Health Service (NHS) workers, and provided funding to help cash-strapped charities to ensure their life-saving work continued during the crisis.

Globally, the Foundation reallocated funding to ensure families were provided with food and provisions to see them through the lockdown period.
